The Last Laugh returns to the brilliant back room at The Greystones for another night of top-class stand-up.
Faizan Shah is one of the most exciting acts to emerge from the North West comedy scene in recent years. Born in Pakistan and raised in Manchester, he mines his experiences of immigration, family, religion and British life for smart, beautifully observed comedy. He’s a natural storyteller with a relaxed, hugely likeable style and a knack for finding great jokes in the differences between the world he grew up in and the one he lives in now.
And we’re absolutely delighted to welcome Shappi Khorsandi to The Greystones.
Shappi has been one of the best-known names in British comedy for more than two decades. She’s appeared on Live at the Apollo, QI, Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week and countless other TV and radio shows, as well as taking acclaimed shows around the country and to the Edinburgh Fringe.
Born in Iran and raised in Britain after her family fled following the Iranian Revolution, Shappi has always been a brilliantly honest storyteller. Her comedy can wander through family, relationships, politics, parenthood, identity and the general madness of everyday life, but it’s always warm, personal and properly funny.
Seeing her in a room as intimate as the back room at The Greystones is going to be something rather special.
