Well, this is where it all started back in 1992, when Roger Monkhouse decided to run a comedy club in Hunter's Bar.

All these years down the line, we're still here making folk laugh once a month on a Thursday. The tiny room behind the Lescar has seen the biggest acts in the country from time to time, like Peter Kay, Jimmy Carr, Dara O Briain, Johnny Vegas and Al Murray. Come on down, get hot and sweaty with us, you may just be seeing a star of the future.

"Sheffield is home to one of the best comedy clubs in the country, The Last Laugh, a famously sweaty gig in the back room of The Lescar pub. You'd do a forty minute set, and come off drenched and have to change in the kitchen as the punters wandered past the door. For some reason I can still see the giant tubs of margarine , as I tried to look casual while conducting a post-mortem, shirtless and glistening, with the show host Toby Foster"
