Next weekend at The Last Laugh we’re serving up two nights of pure, full-throttle live comedy, with a bill packed with some of the most exciting, unpredictable and downright funny acts on the circuit right now.
On Friday, the brilliant Barry Dodds takes on MC duties. Barry is a true crowd whisperer, instantly likeable, lightning quick on his feet and able to spin comedy out of the smallest moment in the room. His warmth and spontaneity make every show feel completely unique, and he has that rare knack of making audiences feel both brilliantly at ease and helpless with laughter at the same time.
Saturday night sees Toby Foster step into the hosting role, bringing his huge presence, razor-sharp timing and decades of experience to the stage. A master of big laughs and effortless crowd connection, Toby blends confident storytelling, quick-fire wit and that unmistakable South Yorkshire charm to keep the energy buzzing from the first moment to the final applause.
Leading the line-up is the wonderfully inventive Paul F Taylor, a comic who operates on a gloriously surreal wavelength. His high-energy delivery, vivid imagination and rapid-fire punchlines create a performance that feels like a rollercoaster through the unexpected, packed with clever twists, strange turns and huge laugh-out-loud moments.
Also joining the bill is Michael Legge, one of the sharpest and most distinctive voices in stand-up. With his beautifully crafted writing, dry delivery and deliciously grumpy outlook, Michael combines intelligence and bite to produce comedy that is both fiercely funny and brilliantly insightful.
Completing the trio is the outstanding Mick Ferry, widely regarded by fellow comedians as one of the very best in the business.
